Appointments are held on the hour and run for 50 minutes

The initial consultation is just about getting to know you and getting a description, or history, of the presenting problem
A standard consultation may then involve; assessment and diagnosis, supportive counseling, treatment and/or therapy.
Hypnotherapy appointments for smoking require only one session.
Self-referrals and referrals from other professionals are accepted but there are no Medicare rebates available for those clients.
Only General Practitioners (GPs), psychiatrists and paediatricians are able to refer clients via the Medicare Better Access Scheme which allows eligible clients to have up to 10 Medicare-rebateable sessions per calendar year with a valid Mental Health Care Plan.
GPs provide a Mental Health Care Plan to patients when they believe the patient is suffering from mental health concerns (e.g., depression/anxiety). The patient is required to attend a double appointment with the GP to obtain the initial plan, then to return to the GP for a review after the initial six sessions with a report from the psychologist. At that point, if required, they can obtain a Mental Health Care Plan Review for four further psychology sessions.
Clients may also be referred to a psychologist under the Workcover, TAC or Victims of Crime systems.
Medicare Rebates as per the Medicare Mental Health Care Plan (referral via GP, Psychiatrist or Paediatrician).
Non-Medicare (private clients), TAC, Workcover, Victims of Crime clients welcome.
All clients attending appointments from Mondays to Fridays will be Bulkbilled if they are pension card holders as well as HCC on new start. Medicare rebates for those attending with a valid G.P Mental Health Care Plan.
